I'm looking for suggestions for a high quality bait casting reel for top water fishing for stripe. I'm a big fan of the revo winches but they are a touch slow for working top water. I definitely don't want a really fast reel preferably 6:1 or so

It depends on how big of a fish you're wanting to catch and if you're catching them in calm water or a dam tail race. It's hard to beat an Abu Garcia Ambassadeur for big Striper. For catching big fish in swift water, I prefer a reel that will hold a lot of line. A big Striper can strip some line off of a reel in a hurry.

Curados are good. I've been using these concept reels. They have a good deal of drag but the spooles aren't very deep. I caught them on smith with an A-rig and a gunfish fished on a 7-11 shimano crucial and a diawa lexa 300h
