I do, but they can cost you a deer. Had a buck walk in the field 2 weeks ago at 120 yards he looked good, but instead of reaching for my gun I grabbed binos instead. Before I even was able to get them up, he looked a few times then just walked out, he happened to be one of the six's I was hunting, he's narrow but super tall...

You'll see tons more deer with binos unless you're hunting some little while in the woods. FACT

50/50 for me.
Got a nice set of Bushnell 10x42 that are really sharp but a tad bulky. Got the Nikon compacts that carry much better and are great for morning and mid-day but ain't worth a flip at dark.
Maybe I need to try an 8x30 like mzzy

I use my bushnell trophy 42mm every hunt. We have a gas line that runs through the entire club and a power line on a piece.

I'm going to have to look into some of the shoulder straps mentioned.

Where I hunt, its so thick on 90% of it that you won't see a deer 100yards away. Most shots are inside of 80yards. I've not had a need for the extra weight where I currently hunt. If I hunted more open woods or fields I'd definately have a good pair. For now my eyes or a quick scope glance will work.

Look into the 32mm size. Maybe something like this:

http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-diamondback-8x32-binocular

I dont remember what size his was they 10x50 or around those lines must have been some kinda marine use they have a lattitude /longitude thing in the bottom of on side the moves around like a compass whem you turn. But I'll look in to the 30mm sizes and a chest harness. His had a slim neck strap and after you had them on for 30 mins it felt like you had two cinder blocks hanging from your neck. Most of the stuff i hunt is hardwood bottoms or where pines meet the hardwoods the only m field i hunt is surrounded by hardwods on one side and pines on the othet and the lenght is 200yds from end to end.

Can't stand to hunt without them anymore. 6x32's in the woods and 10x42's in plots or fields. In the thick thick stuff is where binoculars really shine in my opinion.

Got a pair of Nikon 10-22 x 50 for Christmas. I love the zoom feature. Not the top of the line but good enough for what I need.

Yep, Bino's with the shoulder strap that keeps it from flopping around.
