I'd like to know the county also. Ours haven't started rutting yet. I'm guessing Dallas since he said Selma in his first post.

According to solunar chart, today was supposed to be one of the best hunting days this month. Has anyone's day reflected that. Just wondering, I didn't go today. Thursday is supposed to be the "season's best" according to http://www.solunarforecast.com/

The weather has a much greater effect on deer movement than does any lunar charts. Just a few days ago when that cold weather was on us….I probably saw 25 or more deer on my morning ride at daylight. This morning at daylight on the same backroads going through the same areas…….I saw one.
There will be some deer still killed during this warm period because the rut is kicking in….but deer movement is still gonna be a lot slower than what it would be with another good cold blast. I just hope we see one more round of cold before the season is over. The forecast looks grim for the next week or so.

Yeah the deer are moving very well up here today despite the heat. I have noticed over the years when it is hot and windy, there's good deer movement. I'm in central Dallas County.

Can't seam to figure out how to post a photo. Some help please You have to host it on a site such as photobucket or tinypic and then use the share button from that site to copy the image or direct code. Paste that into a thread response and it should work.
