Well fellas, the good Lord blessed me with my first racked buck this morning. I've been hunting for about 6 years(dad didn't grow up hunting so I took it up late in my teens) and havent had the chance at a buck until this morning. A spike came through with his nose to the ground at around 7:15, and I saw movement 20 yards behind. I put the scope on him and saw horns. He came through the clear cut and stopped about 40 yards from me and I pulled the trigger. He dropped there and I thanked the Lord for a successful hunt. He was around 170lbs and 4 years old.  Good deal buddy. I haven't been hunting long either and got my first buck last season.
A mans got to know his limitations.
