Yeah, if you want to see a nice shooter that's all you've got to do... walk away from your gun and there they are!

I walked up on a buck once moving a ladder. My gun was back at the old ladder location. He didn't bounce off. He stood up and just stared and stared.
I helped a buddy with a long drag once. "Think we should take our guns?" I asked. No he said. Just get in the way. Etc. Three bucks ran a single doe by us.
Sure fire way to see a buck is go for a stroll with no gun.

Yea "always carry" during rifle season. If you don't that's what happens.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Learned my lesson four years ago. Drove an atv in to pick up my climber. Two minutes later, while removing my climber a good buck came out twenty yards away stopped and stared then slowly walked away

Do this. Don't leave your climber in the woods next time. Deer will smell you for days.

Lemme try again.
I walked up on a buck once as I was moving a ladder.
Sorry about that. I had brain fog from too much turkey, ham and sweets.

When I leave a climber on a tree, I hang it head high. It's no different than leaving a loc on. Hunt Safe
