I have a 3 acre field that I had planted in Alfalfa and its done OK, but its dying out so I have decided to dedicate that small field to dove hunting. I have 2 light poles that I have put up with cable between them for a roost line. My plans are to plant a few rows of corn around the perimeter and through the middle. Leave maybe an acre in the middle open for millet and plant the rest in sunflowers.

I will be planting with a set of 2 row 71's. What herbicide options do I have with sunflowers? I read about the Clearfield variety, but that more of an investment than I am willing to put into a small field like this.

Prowl H20 at a qt per acre and cotoran 4L at a qt per acre will keep you clean pre emerge. You can then use select or any gramanicide to control grasses post.
