Do any of y'all have any experience with these dogs?
Know any breeders or someone that has one?

I have done an embarrassing amount of research on the breed. I am currently on a waiting list for a dog. They are one of the"versatile breeds". I would try to take in a NAVHDA event and watch some dogs work. There is a group of reputable breeders. This group is called the NAPPA. PM me if you have some specific questions. I am concerned about the Pudelpointer coat in the Alabama heat. I have also done a lot of research on the Deutsche Drahthaar and the GSP(or DK).

We got sold on a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. Totally random and pure luck. Griffon, Pudlepointer, Drahthaar, GWP... they are all quite similar.

I have a 10 month old pudelpointer with a slick coat, he seems to do pretty well in the heat. Going to a NAVHDA event is a great way to get familiar with this and similar breeds. That is what I did and what sold me on the breed. Most good breeders will have a waiting list to get a dog.
