I know the rule is 144"(vest, hat, etc.). Here is the question, You don't have to wear orange above 12', but my tripod is 10' to platform, seat is +16" (11'4"), also have camo around the shooting rails. So do I wear a vest (can't see the vest for the camo),a hat or nothing as far as orange goes.
If I choose to not wear camo, how critical are wardens on this issue?
Been sitting in my tripod and just got to thinking or should I say over thinking?

You are over thinking, just be sure you got some orange on when you are on the ground.

I was once on Barbour co wma. I had a hat that has raised orange letters on the front and a deer head about the size of half dollar on the bill.
Green Jeans told me "if I was hard core, I'd write your ass a ticket for that illegal hat, but I'm gonna let you slide this one time."
What a goob.

I usually wear an orange hat and vest, as well as my boys. When we walk out of the woods we all carry flashlights. I hope we look like a bunch of lit up Christmas trees coming through the woods. I want anyone that may be in the area to know we aren't deer.

I thought the regs say you can have a logo on front of hat?
“Killing tomorrow’s trophies today.”
On the distance I like to walk to my stands: “The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”

I thought the regs say you can have a logo on front of hat? I think it used to say solid, no logo years ago. This may have have been when the event happened.

I don't need a law to tell me when to wear orange. I prefer to not get shot. X2 If I'm in the woods, I've got my orange vest on. Comes off when I'm settled in the stand. Put it back on before I come down. Same for my kids. Way too many crazy stories to risk it otherwise.
Ya'll are just overthinking it now

Looks like Gene is getting a neighbor. You hunting Larry's?? If so, Todd said he had a picture of hogs there.
