the last dcnr survey i took, was all about the money. They asked about every way possible i might of spent a doller hunting. Most didnt apply to me, cause i hunt close to the house. But while taking survey i realized how out-of-staters would spend a small fortune. I'm sure they realized that too, and are trying to figure out how to get every doller from them too.

Y'all think you also should be able to kill five turkeys in one day?

With ducks, you can shoot up to six a day times x-number of days for the season. Let's say you know you're only going to hunt once all year, a 3-day weekend with your pals. Should you be able to kill 18 ducks on that first day and be done?

Instead of wondering why you can't kill three bucks in one day, you should be asking why a group of people forced the state to take away your personal decisions and limit you to three per season with a restriction on one of those.

I thought you were in the free for all crowd? Now you're telling me you are for the government telling us we can only kill 1 a day? Are you for government regulation or against it? Are you for some rules and against others?

Free-for-all? Hardly. I've never advocated zero laws/regs and 'anarchy,' as some put it.

I'm just asking those who want to shoot 3 bucks in one day if they would kill 5 turkeys or 2-3 limits of ducks in one day. And why they're not pissed about having their freedom to decide what they want and/or need to kill on their own land being reduced to 3 bucks in four months.

As for this: "Are you for some rules and against others?"

I think you can easily look around on the site and find folks who want more laws/regs to impose what they believe is their idea of superduper hunting experiences and then in another vein will yelp about Big Government trampling on the man.

That's what I saw in your post.

Well politics or no politics.... I spend ALOT of $$ (to me) to hunt. This being said, I also hunt a lot. BUT I VERY rarely see 1 buck much less 3!!! So I don't think I have to worry about shooting my limit in a year, much less a single day! Just my 2 cents!

All the new rules and regulations only work for honest ethical hunters. Those that keep shooting as many bucks as they want and not record it(which I feel there are quite a few) will not benefit the flawed game check rules or game regulations.

me personally I see no reason why we should only be allowed 1 buck a day when you're allowed 3 a year. Kind of a dumb rule if you ask me. Also I could careless if a man kills 100 ducks a day.

I have several different pieces of property that legally I can't kill a buck on, since I only get 3. Should be acreage based on buck and doe harvest or it'll never be "managed". 10 people on 1500 acres should only be allowed X amount of deer.
Somebody hunting their 3 acre house lot should only be allowed X amount of deer.

This may have changed , they're awfully interested in catering to the high fence crowd now.

That is my theory. I think that's why they extended the season also. I am able to hunt several counties. What's a deer I kill in North Macon County have to do with a deer I kill in Elmore County? That's my problem with it.

This stuff is all pretty messed up. Too many people involved. The biologists make suggestions and the politicians decide what to do with it... and of course they have other motivations involved. My father is VERY involved in all of these numbers. He lives in another state but he does a lot of research into turkey numbers across the south and duck numbers across the eastern and central flyways. He is a hardcore statistics nerd who loves the outdoors.
So, he does a lot of work for his state and the feds on those turkey and duck numbers. It frustrates him to no end! There are some really obvious numbers that end up not being reflected in the law. Too many people involved, with too many of them not informed on the subject, and too many of them with other motives.
In the end, everyone loses when it's done like that.
