Personally, I prefer a 4" due to it having a better balance. Between those two, I'd get the 5"

I didnt know they made the gp100 with 5" barrel. I thought it was only offered in 3" 4" and 6" with the match champion being around 4.5"

Either way, you cant go wrong.. great guns

I own a 6 inch and when I do my part that is one accurate pistol. Now it is a little heavy but rides good in my holster. I love the GP revolver as well as the SP series. I don't think you can wrong with either.

The GP is the poor man's Colt Python. It's as close as you'll ever get to the smoothness of the Colt cycle when shooting double action. Gotta love the GP100.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I would like to have a SP101 as well but recently Ruger came out with a Redhawk chambered in 45ACP/45 Colt that I would love to have one of those since I can reload for both calibers.

My cousin has the 4" version it shoots tight. I dont like 357 in anything under a 4inch gun. It doesn't a do anything a 38spl. Cant do at 3" and shorter barrel besides blow a HUGE fire ball and blind you. So with the 2 lengths listed I'd go 5" becasue its easier to draw then the 6"
