jono23 OP 14 point Joined: Nov 2014 Posts: 8,033 Huntsville	Most of you have seen in the LFTT thread, but wanted to make a separate post. It ain't a huge buck, just a doe, but MAN WHAT A RUSH. Without getting too sappy and sentimental, I just want to say thanks to everyone on here that has given me advice and tips. No one in my family hunts, so learning how to bow hunt has been a challenge, but I think that is true for anyone. I finally got it put together this morning and connected, I'm hooked forever. This is my third season to hunt, second deer, and first with a bow. I can honestly say, the bow deer was way more satisfying. I'm sure I will still tote a rifle this season...but I'm not hanging the bow up either. Next goal: Kill my first buck. Thanks guys! Also, you might try slicing a doe back leg where you normally hang her up to clean her and then stick the other hoof through the slit to make a figure 4 shape. It makes a nice handle to grab hold of for dragging a doe. "Don't cling to Mistake, just because you spent a lot of time making it."
