"Federal investigators are on the scene of a suspicious package found outside of a Trussville elementary school shortly after a bomb threat via 911.
The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is responding en masse to Magnolia Elementary School on Mary Taylor. The Trussville Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene, as well as FBI agents.
Trussville police Capt. Jeff Bridges told the Trussville Tribune that a caller reported seeing a Hispanic male place a package in front of the school Officers arrived to find a box with wires and a timer attached.
Dave Hyche, ATF's assistant special agent in charge in Alabama, said the package was on a pickup truck in the school parking lot. ATF's bomb-sniffing dog and bomb investigators are securing the school and searching for any possible secondary devices.
The device, Hyche said, contained actual bomb components, but they have not yet determined whether it was a working device. The device has been detonated in nearby woods."

The first thing I would look into was it really a Hispanic male or Middle Eastern male. That is really not a Hispanic MO and it that could easily be confusing.

They just said it did have gun powder in it. This school opened about a month ago. But why in the world put kids in danger. I feel sorry for the generations were raising cause the world is getting crazier by the day.

They just said it did have gun powder in it. This school opened about a month ago. But why in the world put kids in danger. I feel sorry for the generations were raising cause the world is getting crazier by the day. The news may have reported the box had gun powder. But, they also said that was an explosive and it isn't. Second, the ATF never said it had gun powder or an explosive agent in it. They only said it had wires and a "timing device". One of our idiot Jefferson County Commissioners , Joe Knight, sad someone told him it had explosive gun powder in it and the news reported that as fact.
