Some of you boys have me reconsidering my career choices lol. Need to get a gig like that. Will be trying to slip out of the office for a half day here and there over the holidays but I'm pretty much a weekend warrior when it comes to hunting, unfortunately.

Just got settled in Cahaba. Came into a spot blind. Set up on top of a pine ridge with a deep hardwood bottom behind and beside me. A couple spots in the creek still have water. I can see a pretty good distance in the pines. Hopefully I can at least see a deer sneaking by.

Well, I'm back in. Sat till about 2:30. Saw 1 right as I had climbed up, but other than that, nothin. I climbed a new spot and it seems promising, will be back there Thursday AM.

On a different note, I shot a squirrel at 30 yards, helped regain some of my confidence after missing that doe earlier this season lol.

I was in a shooting house (with my muzzleloader) yesterday afternoon and I saw a decent buck right by my ground blind. That buck came within 20 yards of this blind yesterday, so I'm in the blind with my bow today. I just hope he does the same thing as yesterday!

All I saw was a coyote. He came trotting through the field at prime time and he was just out of bow range
