I'll be live from a shooting house today trying to put my nephew in his first deer.

Happy Veteran's Day! It's 34 here in Titus. Feels like hunting weather. Good luck to all the youth out this weekend.

Me and Eli doing set up on a new ladder stand a few weeks ago. We have a dry creek and thicket to our right and oaks scattered all around us.
The secret to a long marriage is to keep on dating, just as you did before marriage. We have "date night" once a week. Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.

In a shooting house over a corn field in TN. They are starting to chase up here. Hoping a big boy feels frisky this morning. 29 degrees when I got here.
Yeah, well, I always heard there were three kinds of suns in Kansas: sunshine, sunflowers, and sons-of-bitches.

Doe down for Eli! The plan was this was a buck only spot but the does kept hanging around and that kinda changed the plan.

Sitting in the house in Indiana look out the back window watching 2 bucks chase a doe all over the pasture. One is at least 130 inches. I tagged out yesterday so just watching now.
It's not how many days you hunt, it's how you hunt each day, that determines the success.

Have had two different small bucks walk right to the grunt call this morning. Damn coyote has been in and out the corn all morning, and I finally got to put a .50 cal in the back of his head
