1st hunt on the club this morning. Finally some cooler temps. Sitting behind some planted pines at a corner with white oaks. Hopefully something will walk by, camera says there here. Good luck and ROLL TIDE!

Me and Emmett are in the same spot as yesterday morning. One come under me before it was light enough to shoot. A 3pt came in and fed under one of the white oaks for about 10 minutes. Saw a doe but she was out of range.

Bad wind for all my bow stands. Set up in a rifle stand, 200 yard shots in double thinned pine hillside with oaks bottom each side. Had 9 does and fawns come by so far within 30 yards.
What you do today, you have to sleep with tonight.

What a beautiful morning the Good Lord gave us. I made my first sit of the year in a thinned pine stand with about 10 white oaks within a long bow shot. Trees weren't dropping like I'd hoped. Struck out but there were few other places I would have rather been this morning.
Ya'll are just overthinking it now

Shot a big spike yesterday. Only hunted for 2 hours this morning. Had a wild cujo looking dog come through. I had Cracker Barrel on my mind so I got down

Did the gun hunt on Choccolocco WMA. Saw three does and two small bucks, and the biggest coyote on the planet!!! Y'all would've been proud, I tried my best to shoot that coyote, but that joker wouldn't hold still! I heard other deer across on another hillside, but the foliage blocks your view in those huge ridges/hollers right now...they pretty much gotta be on the same hill as you are to see them.

I'm Pickens County sitting on a creek bottom. A few white oaks are dropping good. Maybe an old slick head will come by.

Just had a doe and fawn come by. Out of range but would have passed anyway.

Had a big doe come in right at last shooting light. Problem is I had already tied my bow to my pull up rope. I had not lowered it down yet though. Went to draw the bow and it would not draw. Finally realized I tied it off around the cam preventing it from drawing back. Another lesson learned in my first year bowhunting. I don't feel that terrible though because when I did finally get my knot undone from around the cam I realized I wouldn't have been able to see my sights anyway as it was too dark.
