Idiocracy......I mean, I thought it was a comedy at the time, but now it's all becoming terrifyingly true

I hate scary movies. For the most part, they have horrible story lines, and I just don't like them.
The monster and alien type movies are stupid, and I ain't messin with no demon type movies.

I don't get into "scary" movies, or any other "downers" for that matter. I know it's not real, but there's too much real stuff in the world these days to be scared/sad/upset over. What little leisure time I have, I want to watch something funny, positive, upbeat, etc. The only real exception to that is Game of Thrones, but I'm hooked on it.

I watched Friday the 13 when I was about ten or eleven. That just about did it for me and scary movies.
I dream about them and then I wake up thinking the damn monsters are in the house. Luckily no bullet holes in any of the drywall.

Children of the Corn (original), hands down. That said, I've never, and won't ever, watch The Excorcist or Damien so I can't comment on those.

None of those slasher movies like Halloween and Friday the 13th scare me. They use to when I was younger but now I like the Halloween movies.

When we were kids my mom used to drop me and my buddies off at the Green Springs 4 theaters and we could watch a Saturday matinee movie. One Saturday we went there to supposedly watch some kind of hippy movie or something, but instead we snuck into The Exorcist. We were so scared after that we all spent the night at Clay's house and we made a pact that one of us had to stay up all night. TO this day I don't like scary movies. Life is scary enough.

I don't blame you there...but I will say those movies are really overrated as far as fear factor. To me, they aren't even scary. Which I think both are more psychological thrillers so they won't have the same affect on every one.

I watched Gremlins for the first time when I think I was around 6 or 7 at a buddy's house. He lived around the neighborhood from me and I walked home that night scared about every little noise I heard. Then when I got home and flipped my light off to go to bed I kicked and punched all the way to the bed.
