Frankly, Herbstreit, Reece Davis and Mark May are about the only College Football "personalities" I can stand to listen to. Not even sure where May is now. May is on ABC's coverage now. We never see him because ABC doesn't cover the SEC. May was/is a huge Bammer. I love it.

We never see him because ABC doesn't cover the SEC. Except that they own the SEC Network. Disney owns them all, but how many times have you seen Mark May on the SEC Network? Zero for me. I've seen him do a short segment from time to time on College Football Daily on one of the ESPN channels during the week. Otherwise, he's on ABC's studio team.

I thought it was a tooth also but somebody suggested gum?But I dont see him chewing gum with a mouth piece.Verne and Gary are just bumbling idiots on air,they contradict themselves so much its not even funny.

The new mouthpieces have pieces of rubber that are glued or whatever to the inside. My son has one just like what I described. That's the only thing other than spit that I can think of that ole Speedy lost during that hit. That and his memory of the game Saturday. Speedy has taken some vicious hits from the Bama special teams in the last few years.
Btw, Gary wants Bama to lose so bad every time he calls a game he can't stand it. He's great with X's and O's but a tad bit on the bias side for me to stomach. I'm surprised they didn't have Johnny. Manzel in the booth for the whole second quarter like they gave Fo head Manning. That would have been the cherry on top.

I believe they run out of new things to talk about covering Alabama as much as they do, therefore you get repeated stories. As far as Gary and Vern and their broadcasts are concerned, yes they irritate me at times but I think "we" the SEC fans and especially the Bama fans look at them with very distorted glasses. NO ONE will ever make people happy broadcasting for this bunch.
