Snypers became rages
Gators became the redhead gator and nap brought out the sling blade which is essentially an original gator Something like that.  In short, Snypers never became the Gators. Not sure how NAP ended up with the Gator design on the Sling Blade. Not sure if they're paying royalties or tweaked the design just enough to get away with it.
