I've never had that problem. Do you always check and make sure your shock collars are lined up right?

The folks that still cry about them opening in their quiver don't know anything about shock collars. Lol. They are basing their opinion off the old heads. I love my Rage Hypodermics!

Ain't that everything though? I kill a whole lot of deer and just don't seem to have many problems so I'll just stick with them.

Probably using a foam quiver

I have never had any problem with my quiver, all that touches it are the very tips

I've killed several deer with the 3 blades and they left buckets, I mean buckets, of blood behind. BUT, I had one open up in mid flight on a refuge hunt and I missed out on a big 9 pointer, after that I was ruined with them. It may have just been a fluke, or my mistake. But I just lost confidence in them. And you all know that once that happens, it's time to change.

This seems to be most everyone's experience that has shot them long enough

I have a lot of friends who shoot Rage and I'm always impressed with the blood trails they leave. I shoot the NAP killzone which is very similar except the blade retention system seems to be better to me. No o-rings or bands.
I think there are trade offs to both. If it's slightly harder for the blades to open then you wonder if they slows down penetration on impact, whereas Rage doesn't have that extra resistance. I say shoot whatever you are confident with. Too many people blame broadheads for lost deer when it's most likely shot placement. Any broadhead on the market today is going to kill a deer if you hit it in the right spot.

I'm with everything you said. I shoot Killzone Max as well as rage. Same exact head except like you said the NAP retention system is awesome.

I've used them and had no problem. They actually copied the Rocky Mountain Gator broadhead. Basspro bought them out and now they go by Blackout gator. Basically the same broadhead, only you can get them on sale for $19.99/3. This is what i use. Been using them for years. There's not a broadhead on the market that wont put a deer down quickly if you put it in his boiler room.

The head was the Rocky Mountain Snyper. The NAP Slingblade is a copy of the Gator.

I stand corrected, they were snypers in the beggining, but at some point changed to being gators, with the razor tip. Me and my son were using these years before rage ever came out. Nap at that time didn't have a razor tip broadhead.

Sorry, but that's still not correct. The Gators were out long before the Snypers. The Gators used a friction blade retention system. There were no clips, O-rings or rubber bands. They were first only available with a chisel tip, but later offered a cut on contact tip. When Rocky Mountain went out of business, Bass Pro bought the Gator design. The Snyper came out in 2000 or 2001.

Original Gator

Snyper

Redhead Gator

NAP Sling Blade I'm using

I still have a small stash of snypers thumbup I began buying them up when I found out rocky Mtn sold. Also have a few gators left. Killed quite a few deer with those heads over the years. Snypers left gaping wound channels and a blood trail a blind man could follow

Ok stand corrected again. I'm using gators(fourth picture) and have for probably 10 years or more, before rage come out. Shaw, how did the snypers become gators, basspro change the name? I could have sworn that when i first started buying them, they were rocky mountain gators.

Snypers became rages
Gators became the redhead gator and nap brought out the sling blade which is essentially an original gator
