Got a dozen deep six arrows delivered last Friday, usps came late. we had a party to go to, in my excitement I decided it was a GREAT idea to put the inserts in late night over a sackful of Krystals.

Wasn't a great idea. Looks like I didn't bury 3 of the 12 deep enough. Are they ruined?

Pissed about it

I think the only way you can get them out is to heat the shaft. I've also heard you might be able to put a field tip in and heat it and the insert/glue will get hot enough to pull out. That way you don't have to heat/damage the arrow shaft.

I would ask the expert (Shaw) on whether heating the shafts could compromise integrity. I think that it might.

Heat is the only way, but be very sparingly or you will damage the shaft

Anything worth doing, is worth doing right, or it's not worth doing at all!

I had a old muzzy get stuck in a arrow. I took the tip off and pulled the blades. Heated the broad head stem a little, grabbed it with pliers and the insert slid right out.
