Just had bow tuned up and it's shooting really good. I also just put this sight on. Almost makes me think it is a design defect in the bow. Yall ever experienced this? Approx 1/3 of the sight is obstructed by the riser.q This is a pic through the peep sight. It doesn't look too bad but when I am at full draw it gets worse and looks like the first picture.

I know some sights don't fit well on certain bows, looks like an HHA sight, not sure what bow you have. I would check the rest and ensure you rest is not cocked and has you shooting off center. I know a friend that was hitting off center because his was not centered. The PROS may have more insight for ya.

Do you mean paper tuned with the rest?

If no problems in set up, you may have to just live with that sight picture

Is the sight housing extra large? You may have to move the rest out.

Looks like somebody chased some cam lean all the way to the riser. What bow?

It does look close to riser and to me, angled right. The tilt could be camera angle.

Take a shaft and lay it agin the riser (berger hole area)parallel with the nocked arrow. See if they veer toward each other or run parallel.

Veer towards each other considerably probably means the rest is in too far.

Not sure what kind of bow you have but my Hoyt Carbon Spyder ZT has this issue and I think a lot of the newer Hoyts do from reading on Archery Talk.

Yeah! Cam was leaning bad before he tuned it. Said he corrected it and even I can tell it's not leaning hardly like it was.

The first picture is what I see through the peep at full draw. Over 1/3 of the sight is obstructed.

Judging by the second pic your rest is running left a bit. You said you had the cam lean adjusted. Did they monkey with it til they had it straight while the bow was at rest? If so, that was the wrong way. Some bows will have some lean at rest. It needs to be checked at full draw. With the bow at full draw, does the string come straight off the idler wheel or does it go left or right? If it goes left or right, it ain't tuned properly which could cause the center shot to be too close to the riser. That being said, having part of the sight housing behind the riser isn't abnormal.

I remember him showing me how out of whack the cam was when it was not pulled back. He didn't ask me to pull it back and check it that way.

Do you mean it appears that the rest needs to come over to the right? Just wanted to make sure. I just don't want to imagine my sight window getting any smaller than it already is!

If it's shooting well, I'd go with it instead of opening a can of worms two days before the season

Talking about the rest being a tad right. Problem is you're tuned that way now. If you just move the rest and don't adjust the cam lean, you're gonna by to be out of tune. Draw the bow and anchor like you normally would. Then look up and see if the string is coming off the idler wheel straight.

If you can't look at it while drawn and tell, have a friend lay arrow shaft on side of cam at full draw and see if it points in or out.
