I have some vortex mechanicals I forgot I had I am going to be using this year. Has anyone had any experience with them. I have heard good things about them just wanted some more input on them.

I have used them in the past. I still have a few but don't use them...

I have killed several deer with them. Easy to replace the blades. I like them a lot, they are hard to find now days. They are easy to re sharpen too.

If you mean the Marden Vortex 2.5 in cut two blades, the company closed down a few years ago. I've shot them for years and have several that I take very good care of so they will last me.

I've had excellent results as long as you don't hit solid bone (shoulder). They'll slice a hole you wouldn't believe. Even a gut shot deer won't go far and the hole is large enough it generally won't plug up.

As others have said though, now very hard to find. I've still got a few packs that I'm saving.
