I have met the man and listened to him speak numerous times. I will vote for him for any office he runs for.

Roy Moore is more of a statesman than a politician.
Wish we had more like him.

He would make a great Governor !

If he runs for governor he will win in a landslide.

I still want to know who is on this amazing council that can undo a vote of the people and yet never be accountable to anyone, and few knows who they are. That's some serious power we gave away to a bunch of "anonymous" people. What are their qualifications and how did they get their positions?

Why dont we look at the supreme court's ruling instead of the peon that opposed it?

Because the constitution specifically says that if it's not in the constitution, it's left up to the states. Roy Moore was doing his job by telling his probate judges to obey their state law, as homosexual marriage isn't in the constitution.

Judges take an oath to follow the law regardless of their personal opinions and beliefs. Moore obviously cannot do that. I don't mean that as a criticism of him but it is true. I think he should run for a position that allows him to advocate his agenda, like Governor. I do not think Judges should be advocating anything, even if it is a popular position or one I agree with. Moore could serve his agenda as a lawyer by filing suits to block laws he does not agree with but as a judge he does not have that luxury. I think Moore was a fair judge but he could not restrain himself from being an advocate.

Moore was following the constitution, and disregarding those that told him not to. I thought the constitution trumped all, but apparently not.

I'm not a constitutional lawyer, nor am I a man of higher education..but I thought that the original intent of the founders was that issues the constitution does not address fall to the states, like education, ect.
A gentleman on this forum showed me where I was in error in a matter of the constitution. I called income tax unconstitutional when in fact it is constitutional, technically, because it was amended to the constitution.
What I should have said is that income taxes are immoral.
Maybe I am in error on this issue also, but if the constitution does not address an issue it should fall to the states.
I do know the courts have legislated from the bench for far too long.
Way I see it, Judge Moore is right.

he swore to uphold the constitution - which includes doing what the supreme court says to do - and did not do so. he refused to follow the chain of command. he knew this going in, but accepted the job anyway. Jesus said to render to the government what is the government's (in this case acquiescence to the supremes), and to God's what is God's. roy placed himself under MAN's law, then refused to obey it. he is a grandstander, pure and simple.
do i agree with the supreme court ruling? absolutely not. but it is what it is.
