So I've got my new scope ordered, Leupold VX-3 4.5x-14x 50mm. Now I'm looking for suggestions on what rifle to put it on. I want a 308 & looking to spend $700-$1000, I've always had Remington but looking for more suggestions.

Well I was going to say anything but a .308 savage but I'm too late.

HaHa, well I'm open to suggestions, I plan on comparing several before I make a decision.

You may want to look at some of the new rifles with threaded barrels so you can use a suppressor for hunting. Remington, Savage, Ruger and even Mossberg make very good long range rifles for hunting with the threaded barrel.

Sako A7 Big Game, stainless with fluted barrel. My dad bought one last year in 308. Sweet shooting rifle and feels very well balanced. 1/2"@ 100. Can't argue with that! Or, of course, I have a Tikka with laminated stock in stainless and i love it! Depends on which your prefer but can't go wrong either way.
