I thought Trump did good early, then the moderator kept interrupting him and turned the tables on Trump only asking questions that attacked him. At the end like most of you, I thought it was even or Hillary came out on top. Keep in mind we are farther right than most of the country.

You are right Skinny. Somehow we have to try and have some influence and about the only way to do that is to unify. If we who support the better candidate show signs of dis-unity, others will pick up on it. We've go to pray that God has mercy on us and that Mr. Trump will be better prepared for the next two debates. Maybe that is part of his plan (at least we can hope) as he definitely approaches things in a different manner. Maybe it was his strategy to "feel out" how Hillary would handle this first debate and that maybe he will be more comfortable going for the jugular in the next debate.

Your first sentence says it all. The mainstream media is 90% liberal. Why would they not attack trump? This country is FUBAR and isnt going to change unless we change it. Its that simple. The american people need to want change, and at this point it doesnt appear that they do. Just my 2 cents.

Even though overall I think HIllary gave a better debate, there were two things she was very clear on. She is going to raise taxes on everyone and also go after gun rights.

Maybe the rest of America realized that too.

Trumps statement to Hillary of "You've been there 30 years" resounded to me every time she started one of her wishy washy rants.

He is apparently going after gun rights as well. He said that he agreed with her about the "No fly, no buy" nonsense, which is completely unconstitutional. Do you want a board of government employees determining your ability to purchase your next firearm? That's what Trump is advocating for.

She showed that she is for expanding government and that the constitution matters not to her. She demonstrated that she is against both the 2nd and 5th Amendments in this one debate alone.

Or police randomly frisking you because you "Might" have a weapon and you "Might" be about to commit a crime.

A board of government employees (who knows who they are) decides who goes on the no fly list. What Trump and Hillary are advocating is that this list should also apply to the right to purchase a firearm. Do you want some anonymous bureaucrat deciding who can and who can't buy a gun without due process of law? Just do some quick research on no fly list "errors" and how long it takes to get the "error" corrected. I say "error" in quotes because if the government continues on it's current course, there will likely be a lot of us on that no fly list before too much longer.

Alabama rebel you weren't listening very well he said he agrees with it but added there has to be a way through the court system to get off the list. NRA also supports this. Most Americans agree with this.

The problem is we/he knew it would be lop sided with questions and attacks. He could have harped on a thousand things she has done in her past that would hurt her and he didn't.

This is what really ticks me off about it, for months he has had one and only one opponent. He's known this debate was coming. Why the hell wasn't he prepared! It's just more of his fly by the seat of his pants, make it up as he goes BS!! He still isn't taking this thing anywhere near as seriously as he should be imo. Make no mistake, I will be holding my nose and voting for him in November, but man oh man how I wish I could have seen Ted Cruz utterly destroy Hillary on that stage last night.

You and me both. The reality is he needs to get better and he needs to let them coach him. He's running against a woman and like it or not, he will be spun to look like a bully if the chance presents itself. I'm voting for him as well but I'm not jumping up and down about it. There are still a lot of things he says that no conservative should say and that concerns me.
