Good luck. Our season has been open a week today but haven't gone yet. 90-95 degree days is not fun to hunt in. Hopefully this front coming will bring some cooler temps.

Good luck, I skipped Kentucky this weekend but I'm here for the TN opener. 1 4 point, still in velvet, another deer but couldn't see what it was and a doe with a fawn

I love deer hunting but I don't love it enough to hunt when we're still having summer like weather.

Just got settled in here in Georgia. Hunting a bow only area. Sitting at the edge of a 20ish acre clear cut. 5 or 6 rutted out trails leading to a hardwood bottom. I'm sitting in the wide open, because there's only one tree I can get in. Been eyeing this spot for a while, just never went to the trouble of carrying a lockon back in here til now. For some reason, this area sounds like a good afternoon spot.

For some reason, this area sounds like a good afternoon spot. It's one of those places that's good anytime the deer are moving I believe. My main problem was it was 100 degrees all weekend and deer movement was mostly at night. Second, the acorns in the bottom (white oaks) weren't dropping real good yet, and I didn't realize that til today. A good portion of the property has big Sandhills with 10-15' scrubby Texas looking oak trees (maybe sawtooth) that are dropping like crazy right now. I'll head back one weekend during November and hunt this spot again.
