Fatherless homes, plain and simple. It is THE elephant in the room nobody talks about, ever. At least no one that matters.

Fatherless homes, lack of work ethics, entitled mentality, etc. are all symptoms and not root causes. The root cause is a society that has turned away from a moral, Godly lifestyle. That is the cause. It just happens that the lower socioeconomic segments of our society are usually the first to accept unethical behavior as the norm and then it slowly infects the rest of society. That is exactly what is happening in America right now.

You can say "Godlessness", but you don't just wake up one day being "Godly", you learn it from your parents, and young boys learn it from their dad. Without a dad, there's a MUCH smaller chance that a young man will be successful and thrive, and become a Godly man.
It may be a chicken and egg argument, but the bottom line is we incentivize fatherless homes, plain and simple.

The bottom line problem in the black, and even Native American culture is, they are matriarchal cultures, not patriarchal. You cannot improve on God's order for the human race. When women rule, there is a permissive element in child training. There are exceptions to that, of course, but as a rule, it is generally true. We find this true in the history of the Jews in the Old Testament...

Isaiah 3:12  As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

When women rule, children oppress because of this permissiveness. My own mother would let me off without discipline, when my dad wouldn't. God leads and governs man under the priniciple of authority.
