I picked up 2 Samsung LED 50" TVs for my step-dad for $348.99 + tax last week...

Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

Nah...I mounted my 65" led by myself and bigger is better in the new basement den smile

I actually mounted my 65" by myself too. I only had one ladder and wanted it done. It was a beast with the combination of weight, size and how high I wanted to put it.

I went to Sams today looking and they had a Samsung 58 for 488 but it's 1080p. The best deal they had was a Sharp 55 4k UHD. Once you see the quality on the 4k sets you'll see it would be better to have a little smaller screen and the higher resolution than vice versa IMHO.

According to the Costco man the 4K is useless unless you have direct TV or your cable co has fiber optic lines. And direct only has four channels with 4K.

I did notice at Sams that they only had high resolution pictures playing in a loop on their 4k TV's but the difference is amazing. I haven't bought a TV in 10 years and hope to make it last that long again so I figure I'll go ahead and get the most I can afford.

Have had a 65" Sharp LED for 3+ years and its got a great picture and is reliable. Had a vizio before that and it was garbage. Wish I wouldn't have spent the money.

I don't agree with this. You can't get too big in flat panel TV.
