Heard the extra session cost the state $365K for these jackwagons to deny their constituents the right to vote on it one way or another. Asshat politicians get busy putting self serving language in it and it fails to make it to a ballot- Alabama Politics at it's best.

Here is a photo of the list of how the Senate voted. Regardless of pro or anti lottery positions we might have, this bill became a cluster@&!#. I personally don't support the lottery, but the least our elected leadership could do is present a clean language bill for the people to vote on. The incompetence is mind blowing, unless it was a sabotage.

Looks like my State Senator voted no after I asked him to support the lottery. Looks like my State Senator gets my no vote next time he runs.

I lobbied for many years. The democratic Senators did not get what they wanted in the bill from the House and the Repubs needed them in this case. Not enough split for education. Did not help the Bingo operators in this state where 18 countys have voted it legal. They want to play it with machines and not paper. Every body Greedy

The whole damn lot of them should be drawn and quartered.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Two reasons come to mind:
1. Scared to take a stand
Or
2. They have a conflict of interest, such as owning a business that could be involved with the lottery in some way or some other type of conflict where abstaining is the proper course of action.

I'll bet #1 , I didn't think conflict of interest was possible in Alabama.

Three percent of ill-gotten gains in this state probably would allow the site owners to retire and buy hunting land.
