SkiTar OP spike S Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 75 Shelby County	My Son hunts with a Wheatherby 7-08. Last season his gun fired twice when he kicked off the safety. The first time I wrote it off to the possibility that he had his finger on the trigger when he kicked off the safety, which he swore he didn't. The second time it happened I was looking right at his hand. Both times this has happened, he was about to fire on a deer. I have tried repeatedly to make it happen again and have been unsuccessful, however I know for sure this gun is not safe. I really need to let a good gunsmith take a look at it. I live just south of Birmingham. Do you guys have any recommendations of someone to take it to, preferably on my side of town.

Anyway, fast forward 7 months and now I need to get it repaired in a hurry with the season quickly approaching. I figure a gunsmith is my best option at this point if I hope to have it back in time for this season. I really appreciate all the recommendations.

It might not be as long as you think.
