I would think weatherby would fix that for free, in lieu of a lawsuit. My thinking also. Give them a call and see what they have to say.

I would think weatherby would fix that for free, in lieu of a lawsuit. I agree and I should have sent it back to Weatherby right after the season. However, I got busy and every now and then I would think to myself, that I really need to get that gun sent back. Anyway, fast forward 7 months and now I need to get it repaired in a hurry with the season quickly approaching. I figure a gunsmith is my best option at this point if I hope to have it back in time for this season. I really appreciate all the recommendations.

It might not be as long as you think.
