I cant see Saban starting a freshman but Kiffens eyes seem to glow when he talks about Hurts. No doubt there will be some packages just for Hurts to come in & run, also there wont be any qb's processed but there will be a couple pack up & leave if Hurts gets the job. It's pretty simple, if Barnett & Bateman want to start all they have to do is beat the others out.

I doubt Coach Saban "announces" who the starting quarterback is, especially at this time.

He was an EE and has been with the team since January, so that may be enough time and experience to get him familiar enough with the offense (and the offense familiar enough with him) to get the nod.

Heard a report yesterday that Saban is making the folks that own the apartment buildings by the practice field require the people who lease the apartments overlooking the practice field sign an agreement that they won't use their balconies between 3pm-5pm while practice is taking place.

Right across the practice field on the west side. As far as I know they are privately owned and not state property. So as much as I am a fan coach Saban can't stop anyone from using their balcony that is attached to the apartment they are leasing. Only coach Bryant could do that.

I haven't been by the facility since last summer, so they must be new.
