Fixing to get the bow out of retirement and see if I still "got it". I have a Mathews Switchback XT and want to put a rest on it that is Hunter friendly.. Not interested in shooting more than 30 yards max, just wanting to hunt the close, tight areas where shooting 25 yards is a long way. What do I need to get me up and going?

QAD Ultra-Rest HDX is what I use now and like it. However, I used a TM hunter style rest for well over a decade with no issues. It just comes down to how much you want to spend.

Best hunting rest I've ever used is a QAD.

I see no better flight out of the QAD . Biscuit is simple, simple is good bow hunting. http://www.trophyridge.com/arrow-rests

I just took a biscuit off my bow. Depending on where you are I'll make you a great deal on it. BTW I put a QAD on mine.

Not trying to change topic. But how are they ripcord rest vs the qad I don't think one will "out perfrom" the other. Both are great rest. I chose the Ace because I liked the thumb cock position and the more narrow launcher since I'm sometimes moving around trying to get the right angle on elk. Figured that would maybe eliminate possible noise.
