I'll probably run mine in the front pocket of my AGC bino harness when out West.
For treestand hunting, I hang it up within easy reach after I range shooting lanes.

I keep mine in the right breast pocket of my safety harness. I pull it out when I first get to the tree and range a few trees as landmarks then don't pull it out again. I would do similar if stand hunting. Running and gunning elk here so, gotta try to get it quick. So far, I've shot 5 bulls and have yet to range one. My goal this year is to actually use it since I carry it. Last year I dropped everything, including my boots to stalk my bull, lol.

My range finder is ancient and massive. Need a pack to tote it.
