Switching broad heads and going between the slick trick and ramcat. Hear good things about both. Recommendations?

I love the tricks. They fly great, hit heard and cut deep. Never had a single issues. They have a "death whistle" when they fly, but the deer I have shot didn't seem to mind or hear it.

The ramcat is a broadhead that I havenet shot, but have heard good things. The only drawback to it, that i see, is the tiny blades. It looks like they would bend very easily.

My slicks don't whistle. They just whisper death to the deer !

Either is fine, I've killed deer with both in the last two season. With that said, I like the ramcats better.

I tried the slicktricks but couldn't get them to fly well past about 30 yards. I swapped over to nap killzones and I've been nothing but impressed.i shot a doe at 63 yards and got full penetration out of a switchback pulling 63lbs. I think Shaw was shooting the killzones too.

Ramcats may fly better than a field point. They make a mess, a good hit with them and you can see the blood trail from your tree and will prolly see the deer fall. Those blades are plenty tough, I've been shooting them about 4 years and they'll be screwed on my arras this year.

I swapped over to ramcats... Actually went to buy some slick tricks but the archery guy said he had shot both and liked the ramcats better. I've not killed anything with them yet but I'm getting antsy.

Can't speak on the ramcats but I love my tricks. Been shooting them since 2011 and not a single issue. I actually still have two of the three originals I started with. I've resharpened the blades and kept on killing. They're tough, easy to resharpen, fly great, and mine don't whistle.

I love the ramcats and will have some in my quiver again this year. They do leave a heck of a blood trail but I've also heard nothing but good things on the slick tricks.

As far as I know ramcat does not make an expandable. They have the ramcat original and the diamondback. The blades will move a some back and forth by design but they do not expand

I have never shot a ramcat, but when my oldest son started bowhunting 3 years ago i saw what a slick trick could do to a 150 lbs buck coming from of a bow pulling 47 lbs. I swapped and have never looked back.

If you buy slicks, be very careful putting them together. Lots of guys get cut ,they are so sharp !

RamCats, Slicktricks, and Exodus.
Can't go wrong with any of those 3.

Warning about ramcats....they do not easily fit into all quivers. I have a 5 arrow quiver, but can only put 3 ramcats in it because they have to be turned a certain way to not touch the sides of the quiver or the blades of a neighboring arrow.

Ive noticed this.. i can only carry 3 now, and i also read about some people having to get a little longer arrow because of the way the blades are swept back but i didnt have that issue

Both are true statements. I had to buy a quiver from RamCat that is made by Tree Limb so I could carry mine. I shoot the 125 grain heads and I think they have a slightly larger cut than the 100's, so after experimenting with different quivers I finally bit the bullet and bought one that was made for them.

The swept back blades can catch on the riser if your arrow is to short.

I really like the RamCats, but for the trouble, I'd probably shoot Exodus or SlickTricks if I was to start over.

The Ramcats had week blades (My Opinion) but any you find on the shelves will be fine as Ramcat beefed them up this year. They are absolutely devastating but getting them to fit in many quivers is an issue (They do make their own quiver now though I personally would never quit using my tightspot EVER).

Having said all that I am using Wac'em Four blade fixed heads that are made right here in Bama.

I had issues with the ramcats flying consistent. Usually 1 out of 5 didn't group. Seen that out of some others too.. Pretty solid head though.

Now that Ramcats has been sold I wonder if they will change their quality?

I might try slick tricks. Right now I have rage extremes (or something like that). I've never actually let an arrow fly at a deer, but everyone seems to love slick tricks.
