But can he throw the ball? Not near as good as he runs it.

After reading the article he sounds like a perfect fit at the barn.

After reading the article he sounds like a perfect fit at the barn. Dammit, it sure looks like it. Maybe he will be an anomaly.

IF this is true, why would gus get rid of one trouble-maker (RB javon), and take on still another trouble-maker, at QB? gus is way desperate, it seems, and RBs are cheap as chips ...

JF3 sounds a lot like Nick Marshall to me (fast and can't throw). I just hope he can run the read option like Marshall could. Haven't seen many that could read it like that.
I believe he played a lot more at EMCC than Last Chance U made it out to be. He averaged over 80 yards a game. They made it seem like he rode the bench until Roberts got hurt. Roberts was the better thrower and that is the offense they ran at EMCC, so that's why you start him. When Franklin was in, they ran more of a suitable offense for Franklin.
Gus could learn a lot from Buddy. Run an offense that works with what you have. You can't run the read option with a pocket passer. Gus would probably try and still run it even if he had Peyton Manning for a QB.

My son's team played him in HS and I watched LCU and looks like the same kid, no changes. He makes Nick Marshall look like Peyton, Brees, Montana, and Brady all rolled into one from an accuracy standpoint and remember Nick could just barely get by passing the ball. Joker can run for sure but as far as being able to read coverages and throw accurately, you're in for a big disappointment. If Gus is going to run the read option 80% of the time and only try to pass 20%. This kid might be the guy. Lastly, the night my son's team played them down in South FL, he had an interception and 3 fumbles. Ball security has been a major issue for him. Watch on LCU how he carries the ball in traffic. You cant do that in any D1 conference let alone the SEC. He'll be interesting to watch but IMO, he's not the to tourniquet that Gus need to stop the bleeding.

It is looking more like S.White to the rescue If JF3 isn't the qb then Gus can go ahead and start counting his guaranteed contract money. I'm not sure JF3 will give them a shot, but I know White and JJ won't

That's just great. Gus won't make it til Thanksgiving. Nothing at the barn's gonna get better until Dye and Jay Jacobs are gone. Then maybe AU can get a football coach.

Calm down people. Bama folks were saying the same thing about Mal Moore until he hit gold with Saban. Just let it play out. I have a suspicion that AU will be much better than the pundits are predicting. That's just great. Gus won't make it til Thanksgiving. Nothing at the barn's gonna get better until Dye and Jay Jacobs are gone. Then maybe AU can get a football coach.

They are really just someone stepping up at QB away from being a very good team (on paper, anyways).
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I don't understand your analogy, is Jacobs going to hire someone else that will be his "gold" hire?
