The two I saw this weekend were with two hens. Not a very good ratio at all.

Just saw a hen with 9 small poults in my field. Good to see but the poults were literally just bigger than quail. Makes me wonder if maybe the hen didn't loose her first brood and start over.

I saw one hen with about 12 poults this week. They were already big. Not a whole lot smaller than the hen.

I have seen more young quail this year than I have turkey poults.

I hate to say it, but I expected doom and gloom from you. Looks to be another solid hatch in my area and from most reports on here, statewide. I hate it for you Matt, but sounds like you have a gar hole

I saw 16 today big enough to fly on the side of the road in Reeltown. Saw 11 a couple weeks ago in Lee County. I hope they get smart enough to stay out of the middle of the highway.

I rarely see turkeys on side of road here in Marshall Co. Saw this drove twice today. Looked like 2 hens and several half grown uns. Good to see.

I saw 8 very small poults with a hen yesterday. The other 2 groups
I've been watching are half grown now.
