Any advantages with powder over pellets?

The convenience of pellets is why I chose them.

My old Rem 700ML won't shoot pellets worth a crap but it'll put boolit holes touching with 100gr of loose Pyrodex Select

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Same here Wiley, I have an old Knight that's bad medicine with Pyrodex Select and Sierra 45 long colt , non-hollow point bullets.

Loose powder burns more efficiently meaning less residue in the barrel to clean up. Also, less smoke. I recommend Blackhorn.
