I'm wrapping up another book about Nixon and Watergate. The depth of spying and conspiracy was stunning and it included Nixon's cultivating and planning -- for decades -- of friends and loyalists. He used the FBI, CIA, IRS, Justice, Commerce, Attorney General, Secret Service and just about anyone possible for his political and personal goals.

What's interesting is not so much his highest level WH advisors - Colson, Haldeman, et al - but the other top people AND the mid-level folks. For years Nixon and his team had made appointments, recommendations or urged hiring of their friends for deputy, sub-deputy, regional appointments to what might be to the unsuspecting public as an unimportant position. These also, as with politics, including cultivating politicians from grassroots to Congress.

The Clintons have done EXACTLY the same thing over the last 40 years from their days at Yale until now. And unless someone in Congress or Justice grows a huge set of brass nads and doesn't fear being suicided in a dark park, the Clintons and current Administration will skate clean on anything with the IRS or other agencies.

The Clintons are calling in all their chits to get HRC elected. The money and paybacks over the next four or eight years if she is in the WH will be stunning in scope and depth, and nothing will happen to her. Ever.

The ONLY hope that we have of Clinton not being elected lies in the hands of the Bernie supporters.

It makes me sad that there isn't one single person in a position of authority that has the intestinal fortitude to do what they swore an oath to do and press charges against the Clintons.
