Honestly is there any difference in a trophy rock and a plain old trace mineral block you would put out for cows?? I used trophy rocks this spring had deer crushing them and still digging holes where they were but at 17 dollars for 12lb Rock vs 6.50 for a 50lb block I am thinking why not go with the cheaper of the two if they contain practically the same thing from what I can tell. Are the trophy rocks made just to catch the hunter thus the rock design and high price? Anyone had any luck with these plain Jane trace mineral blocks??

I know one thing if it has a picture of a deer on it the price will be high. I'm sure the deer will eat the plain mineral rock. I have fed the deer with sweet feed and they seemed to like it. You just really pay extra for a label imo.

It be's that way sometimes.

You can get 30 lbs of trophy rock in a bag for $ 14 and yes there is a difference.

I personally through out trophy rocks in April and then come back in May and replace them with the cheap blocks and powdered purine cow mineral which is 21.99 for a 50 lb bag at tractor supply

I use the brown 50 pound trace mineral blocks from tractor supply. 7 dollars and the deer tear them up. Put one out last Sunday and had over a thousand pics already

Sure wish that stuff worked down here close to the coast. Up in Dallas county I've always bought a 50lb bag of trace mineral salt from the co-op and buried it under 5" of dirt. A week later there will be a giant hole in the ground. Just unreal.

Tractor supply sells it I think it says trophy rock Four65 on bag... It's the smaller pieces that chip off in the process of getting the bigger rocks.

10-4 if Scottsboro TSC has it they just got it this Summer, I've asked about it for the last 2 years, they were clueless. Might have to head for the boarder , thanks.
