More weight wins every time. A heavier arrow penetrates better and your bow will be quieter.

I'll take slower/heavier over faster/lighter every day and twice on sundays

weight; modern compounds are fast enough already

I want the fastest speeds I can get and have complete penetration.

Never shot an FMJ.. wanted to but they never have them when i need arrows. That being said i dont mind the flatter trajectory with a lighter arrow.
Only accurate rifles are interesting.

It's a pain in the ass to go to deep six diameter, (all new nocks, all new broadheads, all new field points, etc. but once you get all switched over its great. Good penetration and the arrows pull out of target much easier. Never had a bent arrow. Have broken several off in opposite shoulder.

He does 7" pathfinder wraps and blazer vanes, any color you want. have had really good service from him. Maybe you're guy just puts some weird inserts in?

Weight all day. I either use "traditional only" 400 spined carbons with 150 grain zwickey 2 blades or wood 55-60s with 150 grain zwickey 2 blades. I have shot completely through plenty. And if the head is sharpened regularly, they don't make it far.

I believe that's what I have

I just Bought some Easton Da Torch arrows and will be getting some FMJ arrows soon and will be running some tests on penetration. Everyone has an opinion but I need to see the results for myself. I have been shooting Beaman ICS Hunter Pro's for years (8.1 GPI I think).
I shot a doe at 16 yards @ 60lbs, Rage Hypo (Hoyt Carbon Element G3) with a with one of those Hunter Pro's and didn't go through the shoulder blade ended up losing the deer. I found the arrow 25 yards from the shot.
It was broke off 2" from the Broadhead. I know it was a poor shot (Shoulder Blade) but I have busted through that shoulder blade before and recovered deer from farther away than that.
The Da Torch arrows are 7.2 gpi and narrower shafts that the ICS. They fly awesome but have valid concerns regarding kinetic energy and penetration in a hunting situation.
I have literally changed every aspect of my set-up including bow, arrows, release...you name it.
I did NOT increase draw weight. I have had several long holds on deer (I draw when they are behind a tree if I can and sometimes they don't sense something and hesitate before stepping out).
I had a hold that was so long once that although I made a successful shot, I could not have held the bow back another 5 seconds and my shoulder was tore up for 10 days. This is why I stay at 60lbs.
