truedouble, post up after next season and let us know how you like it.
I only know one guy with one and he traded his back in for a gas about 9 months in. Not sure that's worth the letters I typed but I'd like to hear more about 'em.

Thanks for real world experience.
I'm only 6 months into my 900XP ownership and I love it for what I do. I am intrigued by the EV's though and at some point may circle back around and look at them again.

I have hunted with the EV and like many have said the battery range is FAR less than advertised. Have often wondered why you could not put a solar charger on one as I would frequently park it 2-5 hours when going to stand? when you say far less, how many miles are you able to go on a charge and what kind of terrain are you on? agree on the solar, but if you are parked in the woods it would do almost no good. I know there are some people that have installed solar charging systems on their buggies, but I don't think the results are what you would expect.

Just an update on my EV. I took it to the farm this past weekend and it exceeded my expectations. More than enough torque to climb the steepest part of the mnt., plenty of battery life to make it around the farm, 4 wheel drive did great climbing an extremely muddy and steep logging road and the suspension makes for a very comfortable ride, even when traveling over large rocks/ small boulders in the road. The regenerative breaking did great coming off the mnt. to the point I barely had to use the breaks.
It does have a whining noise but it's not loud enough to be a concern, even during turkey season. The only draw back is the bed rattles if you hit a large bump, but I'm pretty sure I can rig something up to eliminate the play that allows the noise.

I never did mind the winding noise the motor made. It was very quiet overall. Hope you enjoy.

Hope you have good luck with your new toy. I spent several years and a pile of money figuring out electric only would not do what I need. Now I have a Ranger for working and a 2wd a Beast electric for hunting. That makes 2 of us then.

I thought the word was out but apparently not as they're still selling them! I can't tell you how many negative reports I have heard about the BBB. I personally owned on back in 2006 and it was the worst machine built and nothing but problems.
I have heard nothing but negative comments about electric vehicles over the last several years.
The Polaris EV has gotten some decent ratings but all others... I would not touch them. Esp the BBB!!
But when it's working, you can't beat it for hunting!!
