Occasionally someone will catch one in Guntersville Lake and I'll get a phone call at the paper that goes "I've caught something that looks prehistoric and I don't know what it is." They're shocked when I tell em what it is and then they do a little research and find out I actually sometimes know my ass from a hole in the ground. Had a lady call once and say she had caught an alien fish and she was tickled to death. It was a yellow perch.
“Killing tomorrow’s trophies today.”
On the distance I like to walk to my stands: “The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”
