Anyway, one day a KC failed on liftoff, you wanna talk about something that will wake the dead, dang I can still remember it and I was like 10 years old at the time. It felt like we had been nuked ...

Did it fail on liftoff or landing?

It failed on liftoff

I don't want to pass quietly into the night. I want to slide in sideways kickin and screamin

Congrats to your son. C-130's are a workhorse when things get real.

Oldest brother flew them C-130's, he loved that plane, did his 30 and retired

I fixed the hydraulics, flight controls, landing gear and rigged throttles and ramp and door at Pope from 86-93.
