I know some folks who I wish had received several of the Nuclear kits.

I had a couple of Gilberts Chemistry sets. I remember the lead smelters too.
I came, I saw, so I killed them all......Vern

Almost impaled my uncle with a yard dart. Those things were huge.

And drinking water from a hot garden hose that's been left outside for 11 years.

Lawn darts... THE ULTIMATE GAME OF CHICKEN.
Lets don't forget that Evil Knievel should have been locked away for child endangerment. How many of yall folks attempted jumps?
I personally believe that the greatest proof of God is that little boys grow up to be men. You couldn't pay me to walk through the water moccasin infested creeks and swamps we played in as kids catching crawdads. We had moccasins swim through are legs so many times. But, hey that's where the crawdads and turtles were. It still is, and I don't walk through them, either...just get kids to do it for you.

But, hey that's where the crawdads and turtles were. One place we coon hunt in winter looks like a jungle in summer. As a kid I'd probably have set half of it on fire, built forts and dams and hung ropes from limbs, and been out there every day. Now I'd need snake boots, chaps, a Depends, bush hook, Judge, extra ammo and bottle of whiskey for antiseptic measure to go in there.

Damn Clem, you just described my childhood to a "T".
There are still certain parts of my farm I'm very careful walking through because all of the "traps" I set out there as a little boy. Dead falls, pits, tension snares...you name it.
I personally blame (or give credit to) the movie Predator for my "bad guy" trap making as a child. Some of the things we did back then make me just shake my head looking back on....
