I've only seen one infection with it in use. In that case they turned off real time protection, letting the virus get in and take root. Had they not disabled it there wouldn't have been an infection.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

AVG with Malwarebytes to cover what it misses. Both are paid versions. So far nothing has ever gotten past them. Sometimes the AVG misses but the malwarebytes always smashes the bugs.

AVG, Malwarebytes and Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool.
AVG pay version on 13 networked computers at work.
Free version on 5 networked computers at home.
We used the same thing for 219 classroom computers at UA when I worked for OIT there.

All I use is malwarebytes and 5 years down the road,3 puters and so far so good.If we facebooked and social mediaed much I might have something else but about all we do is read and look up recipes.This computer I am on is my aldeer computer because that's what it's used for 90%of the time.
