One year it took a long time to get mine back but usually it seems to take around 6 weeks. Have you checked https://myalabamataxes.alabama.gov/_/ ?

All I know is it took about 4 days for my payment to be deposited by the state.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Efiled with direct deposit and got my fed in less than a week and state in under 2 weeks this year. Past years state has taken up to 2 months before it showed.
