Heard on the news this morning that the ACLU is probably going to be showing up soon. The guy they were interviewing was on the phone and he didn't fully commit to them getting involved, but I'm betting they will. All I can say is stand strong Oxford.

I live in Oxford. I might take a burn barrel down so they can burn their birth certificates. But I hope the council stands tough. Our mayor is old and going down hill fast. 10 years ago he would have not let this crap go this far.

Here's what I'd tell the City Council. You make an ordinance to take out all the urinals of every bathroom, no more stalls either. Only put it water closets like they have in Japan which is basically a toilet in a closet.
Open entrance and communal hand washing. 3/4 of the damn world can do their business without causing a ruckus but America has to slam on the brakes just so somebody can take a piss.

Your mayor and council need to hear from you, if you support the measure at hand. The more of their constituents they hear from, the more likely they are to stand their ground. All the bussed-in people don't vote in Oxford...

Sounds like a massive softball tournament that was going to be hosted there would have pulled out.
Not to mention the hourly rate for lawyers isn't cheap.

From what I heard this morning they had several (around 10) different attorneys/law firms offering to fight any suits brought against them free of charge. This would have been a pivotal municipal ordinance for the entire country as it relates to this transgender mess. Oxford already had countless other municipalities asking for the framework of their ordinance so that they could draft their own. That's why there was so much support from outside groups to make sure that this ordinance was upheld in court. I'm amazed at how one group of people can go from hero to cowardice laughing stock in one week.

Pay them back next election cycle. Call them email them bother the crap out of them.
