I was looking at a used mule and was wondering how many hours is considered a lot? It's a 2008 3010 trans 4x4 with 750 hours. It seems to be in great shape and runs excellent.

We've had two of them at the plant, and both have been huge piles of crap.

We have one with 500 hrs we've had for 10 years now. It's been worry-free so far. Depending on the price I'd get it. I probably wouldn't pay more than 3-4K though.

I had a 2007 model. Can't remember how many hours it had when I sold it, but I wish I still had it. Good vehicle.

We have a 2004 model, and never had a mechanical problem--but we keep fluids changed and run only non-ethanol fuel with Seafoam. As stated above, its not going to win a race, but its very dependable.

I'd say 750 hours is fine if its been maintained well and used by responsible adults. I'd say go for it if you know the owner.

My neighbor has had one for 8 years he has absolutely run the fool out of and has had no problems. They are not quite as comfy or fast as the Rangers but seem to be good workhorses.

I have 94 Mule that all my hunting club buddies make fun of. It's slow, not that comfortable but goes wherever and whenever I need it to. There is no telling how many hours it has but it is really dependable. I bought it used 4 yrs ago from a Kawasaki dealer for $1500 We use it to haul seed, fertilizer, wood and everything else you can think of around a hilly club and have no problems.

I purchased my 3010 4x4 Mule in 2006 new $8,500.00. Just turned 900 hours. It has been a work horse. Couple of things to check first, is the engine dry, meaning no signs of oil on engine. Second check C/V joints to be sure the rubber protection has not been torn, there four of these. The front two are the ones that generally get damaged first. C/V guards are optional. If this mule has guards this is good news. If the engine oil been changed annually that would extremely favorable news. Pull oil stick out if oil looks clean and not black you might have found A GOOD used mule.

Had em at work with 4000 hours on em and still going. You have some life left in it for sure.
