Never owned a pair of Muck I've always worn Rocky bear claw up until a few years ago. My lady friend bought me a pair of UA brow times and I have to say it's a dang good boot. I'm just thinking about a pair of Muck for scent control, also looking to get some field reports on those who wear them and their secrets to keeping their feet warm.

I had always worn Rocky boots until this year. My old rockies had finally worn out and needed a new pair. Went to bass pro to pick up some new ones and figured I'd try the Muck on just to see how they felt. I ended up buying them instead of the rockies. They are definately comfortable but the footbed doesn't seem quite as stable as the rockies. They are also good and warm and seem a little more comfortable than the rockies in warmer weather.

I've worn rockies,Irish setter, and the lacrosse alpha burly,(those were comfortable) but the muck woody max is by far the most comfortable boot I've ever worn!

I owned some mucks and loved them until a stick went through the neoprene low on the boot. I repaired it best I could but still leaks. I went back to lacrosse alphaburly. The mucks are probably the one of the best all round boot IMO. I've just like the alphaburly because of preference.

Same here. I was always looking for a better boot before trying Woody Max four ears ago. I cant praise them highly enough!

I bought a pair of Woody Max that lasted a year, but to be fair I'm hard on stuff. The soft stuff above the rubber got ripped to shreds hunting in cutovers and they didn't have the ankle support I like for going up and down mtns.

I'm pretty rough on boots but my Lacrosse Aeroheads were comfortable, not too hot, dry, lighweight and held up to rough treatment this year. I get in some nasty terrain tracking wounded deer and never thought rubber boots would work, but I can run in these and the cypress knees, briars, oh chit vines and light'ood knot stump holes haven't whipped them yet.

We have both muck and burleys. I think most of the rubber boots won't hold up to abuse. Abuse such as rugged cutover etc. We've had the burley split in the back at the heal, pucture and leak and the mucks have had the neoprene rip and puncture. My favorite all around hunting boot was the lacrosse rubber bottom with the lace up top. I've got a pair that's 20 years old and still don't leak. Similar to the L.L. Bean boot with the leather upper and rubber bottom. Lacrosse had them with camo upper/rubber bottom with interchangeable liners. You could wear without a liner in warm weather, thin liner for early season and a thicker liner for late season. I wear those on warm days and the mucks when it gets cold. But my feet always sweat in the mucks.

Plain Green Burly seem to last the longest. I bought a pair of Lacrosse Burly SST high dollar rubber boots and they fell apart also. The old green ones seem to last longer but they have their draw backs to....like taking them on and off etc.

I have a pair of Muck boots, actually 2 pair. Due to some deep water areas, I bought a pair of Lacrosse that are 2"s taller. The Muck boots can be easily (relative to other boots I've worn) punctured. There are some pretty serious thorns around here that have made them no so waterproof, and this comes from holes stuck in the uppers. My ankle high Mucks must have been penetrated by something on the bottom since one foot always gets wet from the underside. And they are hot.

That may sound like a negative Muck Boot post, but it's really not. They are comfortable. I wear my short ones often around the yard.

I've had good luck with the muck, so far. I normally don't wear them tho in thick nasty stuff. Just boggy areas.

I wouldn't walk around in another pair of Muck boots if you gave them to me.

They are junk!

Bought a pair of Woody Max and the entire sole came off of the left boot.

I called Muck and they wouldn't do anything about them because they were a few days past 12 months old.

The rep admitted they had a problem with soles coming off but wouldn't help me out at all on mine.

That's what their customer service is like if you want to know.

Buy Lacrosse. thumbup

I've got a pair of Alpha Burleys that are 3 years old and have withstood all kinds of hell, trekking through cut-over, swamps, the high ridges of the Tallapoosa River lands, and after hosing them off they still look brand new.
